Welcome to the Boneyard
BC Interior Forestry Museum is adding local heavy logging equipment to their outdoor arena called the Boneyard. This area is part of their River Forest Walk. It was a blowdown area that has been cleared, seeded and will serve as a venue for community gatherings.
Currently, the only relic of the past that has been relocated to the Boneyard is an International 175 loader from the 1960s. It is a treasure as is it still operational! The plans are to bring other pieces of heavy equipment to arena to emulate a working interior forest logging operation from 1950s to 1970s. The loader will occasionally be running to bring the Boneyard to life.
Revelstoke Community Foundation is thrilled to support the BC Interior Forestry Museum so that they can continue to share the stories of logging in the interior of British Columbia.
